Using Jamulus

Jamulus  is so easy to use!  Find the Jamulus Icon on your desktop, as shown below.

Double-click the icon, and the screen at the right appears.

At the left of the screen, put a check in the box labeled Chat, and a small chat window appears, as shown at the right.  This window lets you see the Welcome message of servers you connect to, and allow you to chat with others connected to a server.

Also, put a check in the box labeled Mute Myself.  This will keep you from making any noise when you first enter a room.  When you are ready to let people hear you, remove the check box.

At the lower left of the screen, click the Connect button, and a list of server "rooms" currently available on the internet appears, as shown at the right.  If there are users already connected to a room they are listed below it, indented.

Here are the KalamaJam servers you may see from time to tiime:

KalamaJam - public space
KalamaJazz - Blues Jam

KalamaBlues - Blues Jam

KalamaFolk - KFO Jam

KalamaBand - Rehearsal Room

KalamaTeach - Teaching Studio

Be sure to check other rooms out there as well.  Some are very interesting.

To connect to a room, just double-click on its name, and the main screen will now show mixer tracks for everyone in the room, as shown at the right.  Use the mixer sliders to get a personalized mix.  Changing volume levels on the mixer affects only what you hear, and has no affect on the mixers of other users.
