Jamulus consists of servers and clients.
In the diagram at the right, in the center we see a server out in the internet cloud. This server provides a "room" where people can enter, and play together.
Connected to this server, like spokes in a wheel, we see multiple musicians. These clients. These people use the Jamulus client software to connect to the Server.
right now, out on the internest, there are over 200 Jamulus server "rooms." KalamaJam hosts several of these.

Horn Band Rehearsal
In the Horn Band Rehearsal room, we will host a weekly sessions in which the songs we play may come from any genre, but have one thing in common: they have horn parts that would be difficult to play off-the-cuff in a free form Jam, even with charts. In short, they require rehearsal before they can be ready for free-form jamming. These sessions will work something like this:

To be a Participant, you should be able to play at least some of the songs

Charts are provided to those signed up

Visitors may may request charts in advance, and play along if they remain muted

Anyone may recommend a song by using the Suggest Songs page on this site.

Our Librarian will review these submissions and approve ones that are appropriate

Songs will not be eligible for use in either Rehearsals or Jams without all needed charts.
