Jamulus consists of servers and clients.
In the diagram at the right, in the center we see a server out in the internet cloud. This server provides a "room" where people can enter, and play together.
Connected to this server, like spokes in a wheel, we see multiple musicians. These clients. These people use the Jamulus client software to connect to the Server.
right now, out on the internest, there are over 200 Jamulus server "rooms." KalamaJam hosts several of these.

Horn Band Jams
In the Horn Band Jam room, we will host a weekly Jam in which the songs we play may come from any genre, but have one thing in common: they have horn parts that easy to play as long as you have a chart for your part.
These sessions will work something like this:

Songs are selected a week in advance

Charts are available on Google Drive.

You don't need to sign up to play, but you do need to sign up for our e-mail list.

Each week we e-mail the song list and access link to the charts.

The arrangements provide opportunities for soloing as well a sectional playing

Facilitation by an experienced jam leader

Songs to be added to the list should be ones that do have, or could have, horn parts

Anyone may recommend a song by using the Suggest Songs page on this site.

Our Librarian will review these submissions and approve ones that are appropriate

Songs will not be eligible for use in either Rehearsals or Jams without all needed charts.
